Payroll done properly, without the admin.

If payroll eats into your month, hand it to us. We process every pay run, send the payslips and file with HMRC, so your records stay clean.

We run your payroll through BrightPay Cloud. Your staff log in to their own portal for payslips and payroll documents, and you get an employer portal with the reports. We do the processing and you keep sight of everything.

Each pay run works the same way. You send us starters, leavers, hours and any changes. We process the payroll and share the payslips and reports, then send the RTI submission to HMRC as part of the run.

  • Accurate pay runs, period after period
  • RTI submissions to HMRC included
  • Pension auto-enrolment kept on track
  • From your first hire to a growing team

Payroll and CIS, answered.

The questions people ask us most. If yours isn't here, ring us and you'll get a straight answer.

Gross pay is what someone earns before anything comes off. Net pay is what lands in their bank after deductions such as income tax, National Insurance and pension contributions.

For hourly staff, it's the hours worked times the hourly rate. For salaried staff, it's the yearly salary split equally across the pay periods. Overtime, bonuses, commission and tips go on top.

That's up to you, as long as you stick to a regular schedule. Weekly keeps staff happy but means more work. Monthly costs the least to run, and every two weeks sits in between.

Each employee's legal name, address, National Insurance number and bank details, plus what they're paid. Then each pay run you send us starters, leavers, hours and any changes, securely, and we do the rest.

Yes. You can move your payroll to us at any time of year, without disruption and without any set-up costs.

Not usually. When we take on your HMRC responsibilities, a final submission closes your old PAYE, normally an EPS sent once the last payroll has been processed, with the date it stopped.

The Construction Industry Scheme. Contractors take money off their subcontractors' payments and pass it to HMRC as advance payments towards the subcontractor's tax and National Insurance. The deduction is 20% for registered subcontractors and 30% for those who aren't registered.

A tax month runs from the 6th to the 5th. Your CIS return must reach HMRC by the 19th after the tax month ends. PAYE, National Insurance and CIS deductions are due by the 22nd, or the 19th if you pay by post.

Each employee gets a secure portal with their payslips and payroll documents. You get an employer portal with the payroll reports.
